Week 2 - June 5, 2020

What's up!!

This is officially my 9th day in the MTC.  It's been a blast!  I will say, that "early to bed, early to rise" has been a very difficult concept for me to get on board with.... but I'm doing it!

This week has been filled with workshops, lots of study, TRC's, and many hours of class.  I'm definitely always busy!

My first TRC's were this week.  What we do is teach someone who may or may not be a member of the church (no matter what they act like, they aren't) and just practice talking with and teaching people!  It is super fun to have experiences that will be similar to do what I do in Idaho.

I got my flight plans!  I fly to Pocatello on the 17th of June! Super PUMPED!  I get to actually meet my companion because we are on the same flight!!

One night this week my family ordered Chipotle online, and my HOMIE JUSTIN BUHLER works there. He noticed our names on the order thingy and left us a note in our bag! It was awesome to hear from friends.

Melanie was able to come over this week and be my companion while my parents were out, and it was awesome to see her. Her mom even bought me Andys (my fav)! I'm so lucky to have good friends who support me and care about the experiences I'm having!

Finally, on my P-day today, the Woolley girls came over and helped me with a service project!  The Salvation Army gives out lunches to those who need help and food, and they accept donations of decorated lunch bags!  It is super awesome to brighten someone's day.

My spiritual thought for this week comes from 2 Nephi 2:25.  It says, "Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy."  I love that verse because it shows us that it is part of God's plan for us to feel JOY!  He wants us to be happy.  One of my favorite definitions of the word joy is "knowing who you are."  We came to this earth to learn exactly who we are, which is children of God.  We know that we can become like him if we come unto Christ and receive the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ!

I LOVE THE GOSPEL!

Anyways, that's about it!  I hope you all have a beautiful week!
